It has finally happened and Mercer has a win over ETSU for the first time ever. A 20 point MU lead with under 5 minutes to play was almost erased as Mercer went into a clock-running prevent mode (noted by Coach Hoffman in Mercer write-up http://www.mercerbears.com/news/2010/1/9...ath=mbball ). The team played exceptionally well. The only negative marks were free throw percentage (60%) and turnovers were a little high (18). Florence & Smith lit it up from 3pt range. Mills and Emerson were all over the boards -- and the complete stat line w/ blocks, assists, points, & steals between them. Brandon Moore was quality as he has been with some big shots, rebounds, and assists. Kusnyer made some big 3's. Plus the supporting cast (Walker, Hall, & Swann) were great.

Nice game. Your folks were very patient on offense and that negated the ETSU zone defense. The Bucs were much too thin inside to provide much of a challenge for your post players.
