They're well-coached and play an exciting style of basketball, in that if they're hitting their shots, they can beat anyone on any night. That's why if ETSU guards the perimeter, we can beat them badly.
For me, Belmont is much more interesting than say, Furman or Wofford.
Who said anything about Furman or Wafford? The comment was Belmont rivalry > UTC/Appy rivalries, and whatever - everybody's entitled to an opinion, but that's just silly.
Furman/Wofford is only relevant if you're talking conference as a whole. And then the comparison is probably something like Campbell/Mercer. We've all seen the movie and know how it ends as far as the A-Sun/SoCon debate goes on here, so whatever... doesn't even matter. But there is a history here, and discarding it so nonchalantly by saying Belmont > UTC at least deserves comment. I'm done with that debate now too.

VSAC = Volunteer State Athletic Conference.
The old trophy case in Brooks (actually, there were multiple ones, even a couple upstairs in the hallway, as I recall) used to have several old basketballs and footballs with scores written on them and so forth, for VSAC victories as well as the trophies themselves....

VSAC
Which means that 60 years later some of those NAIA type schools have caught us.
While Western KY, MTSU and Marshall left us in the dust.
Hey 68 , do you remember them playing in the VSAC ? Before my time. I do remember my dad talking about them playing Milligan and King on a competitive basis.

Way before my time but didn't Milligan have a really great team featuring Sonny Smith and some guy who ended up coaching the Las Angelas Lakers?

Del Harris did attend Milligan and is in their Hall of Fame, so that sounds about right. My how times change.
