Coach Leach was suspended from Texas Tech due to a situation with one of his players. The player happened to be the son of Craig James, ESPN Analsyst. The kid supposedly had a concussion and he locked him in a closet for three hours?!??!

Where are the other players and coaches? Somebody has a potentially serious injury and no one steps up.

Leach should not coach again but his assistants, if they knew, look bad too.

Wasn't Leach a top candidate for Coach of the Year a couple years ago, for the rise of Texas Tech?

Just got fired.

If Illinois was smart, they would fire Zook and hire Leach before the day is over.

Sounds like more that this one issue. this was the icing on the cake.

Granted they fired him after suspending him for apparent jackassery, but firing him on the eve of a hearing for a restraining order on that suspension looks like there's a bit of retaliation in there, too. I don't know whether it reaches the level of being a legal issue for Texas Tech, but it seems like they've opened themselves up to a mess.

Of course, the irony of the school that hired the all-time king of ******* goons of coaches, Bob Knight, firing a coach for being a ******* goon, is rich.

Leach is an idiot?

I'm still not sold that Leach did anything wrong. Several trainers and assistants backed him before and after his firing. The guy has been at TTech for 10 years and there have never been any allegations of mistreating players that I'm aware of. I find it just as likely that, as stated by the TT offensive coordinator in this article, Adam James is an arrogant, lazy kid who thinks he can get whatever he wants because his dad works for ESPN.
