Quinn Gets A New Gig
Buffalo hired former CMU assistant (and one-time potential coach) Jeff Quinn. They'll hold a press conference on Tuesday.

Personally, I've heard a lot of good things and a few not so good things, about Quinn. He's got a great record, but, he's been passed over for a couple jobs already. I'm really interested what the CMU fans think of Quinn. How much did he do and how much was Kelly?

Buffalo is a good fit for Jeff, and Jeff is a good fit for Buffalo.

He was a good OC for us and coached CMU to its first-ever bowl victory in 2006, after Kelly split for Cincinnati. I have heard a number of people express doubt over his ability to be a HC, but I've heard very few reasons or even opinions as to why.

I'm not sure too many CMU fans really know why he was passed on at CMU. I know when Kelly left there were people who were pushing for Quinn to get the HC job. He did a fine job getting our team prepared for & winning the Motor City Bowl vs. Middle Tennessee State. Heck, he did better for us in a bowl game than Jones ever did.01-lauramac2

I wonder if its a situation where everyone thinks its Kelly and Quinn is just riding his coat tails? I guess we'll find out now.
