Can he throw a long ball? Maybe I saw bad video? All I see are short passes to the sideline and running. What gives him 3 stars? Just curious.

Billy Lowe played on a team with More BCS D1 players than any other team in the U.S. He played QB for 1 year. I don't think he had a good head on his shoulders.

Miles has been a QB for a long time. He is a very bright kid. I don't think there is any comparision between the two. I think there is more of a comparision with Britt Davis. Harnish and Grady did not throw for over 2000 yards and run for 1000.

He is a player, see all the scholarship offers and Lemmings prior comments.

I agree with this kid. It was funny how everyone was abuzz with Lowe and his dad. Has he palyed at all

I believe that he had a career ending back injury at GSU.

RE: Miles Osei Commits
How the hell can anybody compare him to Billy Lowe? Lowe was a 2 star with offers from us and 3 Sun Belt schools. Osei is a 3 star with offers from us, the rest of the MAC, Air Force, Navy, and Tulane. The only people who had Lowe high regarded were idiots like Kedz on this board, and people who fell into the trap of his father.

Like Klake said he's more Britt Davis than Billy Lowe.

Osei actually is highly regarded. People are worried about Kill losing Chicagoland area prospects, well we went head to head with CMU and the rest of the the MAC and got Osei.

Well done Kill and company.

Great video. Thanks. He has good mechanics throwing. He is over the top, not a sidewinder. He holds the ball up high and does not win up to throw. He throws so casually and relaxed not forcing action. He looks like he has a big a$$ thats good. His style is similar to QB @ Cinn, Zach.

IMO, the MAC got the better QBs out of IL than the Big 10. Osei and Perish to me are better that Rees (ND), Graham (Ohio St) and Wittmer (IL).

Hope that does not put the jinx on the MAC QBs, but that is how I feel.

That video showed only one opponent. He seems like a clone of Harnisch but faster. He can run and make short throws but his arm doesn't appear very strong but that can change. It also looks like he stares down receivers but again that can be worked on. I don't see him playing until his third year as it doesn't look like he has the raw talent to beat out Harnisch in the next 2 years.

Maybe he showed more impressive passing skills against other teams.

Until you get him into camp, you never know. This kid put up huge passing and running numbers the last two years.

From the video, he looks like Grady, cannot tell much from passing stanpoint. Looks more like a runner then thrower

That video is from his junior year. I saw him play this fall and he looked better than that in every respect: bigger, faster, stronger. And he was totally in command of the spread offense and toyed with the competition. Very impressive player.

Grady's Senior Year:
40-80, 610 yards, 7 TDs
60 carries, 357 yards, 9 TDs

Just for comparison, Osei threw for 2,200, rushed for 1200 and scored 40 TDs as a Junior.

They aren't comparable. You may think they have a similar skill set, but Osei is miles and miles ahead of Grady coming out of high school.

This is a good addition to the program. He is supposed to be a very good kid. I have seen him play in person a couple of times and he can flick it as well as run it. He threw a lot of touchdowns to the son of one of the ladies I work with. If his High School experience transfers to the college football field he is twice the quarterback that Grady is. He is not one dimensional at all. That being said the college game is much faster than High School and until he is in the NIU system we won't know. However I do think this is one of the most exciting recruits in recent NIU years! He can redshirt behind Harnish and Grady while the Huskies win the MAC next year and be ready for 2011!
