While Wally was doing some PR work
in his column today for Glynn Cyprien, bragging about his coaching pedigree, he failed to mention his hiring and firing as the head coach(soon after his hiring)by Louisiana-Lafayette, when it was discovered that he had lied on his resume about having a degree from Texas-San Antonio. Funny Wally didn't mention that part of the story. He only tells you the part he wants you to hear, and hopes people won't remember the rest. If that had been someone Wally didn't like, say like John "I'm Your Pal"Calipari, he would have told us how sorry Calipari(agreed)was. But, a guy that lies on his resume is alright, since he worked for Eddie Sutton and was an assistant at the hog trough in Fayetteville.

The most interesting party of Wally's story was when he talked about how the Memphis man-to-man press gave us fits while, on the other hand, the Memphis Coach said they couldn't handle us with their man press and that's why they had to go to a zone press.

That's one of the reasons people always have to take Hall's columns with a big grain of salt. He ALWAYS has a personal agenda he is pushing, either for or against someone. Today it was both.

And here's Wally Hall attending yesterdays game of his alma mater, and as almost an afterthought towards the end he mentions the play of the Trojans. Wouldn't it be something if he actually wrote a column someday that really focused on the Trojans? It will probably only happen if you go back to the basic rule of Hall's columns stated in the first paragraph of this post- he'll only do it if he wants to bring someone down or get one of his pals a job.
