Akron in the NCAA Soccer Finals!
Akron won in PKs over North Carolina. Face Virginia for the title. Did not know they were 23-0-0.

Hope they win.02-13-banana

Game is on ESPN2(in case you are interested). Akron/Virginia going into OT tied at 0. Can they pull it out?

The shootout win over North Carolina is counted as a tie, so they won't finished with an unblemished record (they are 23-0-1)...but they are a great college soccer team. Hopefully they can pull it out over UVa here in OT.

MAC programs don't win many National Championships this one would be huge and with Miami ranked #1(and smoking OSU last wek 6-0) a Men's Ice Hockey title would be a great achievement as well.

Akron's goalkeeper saved their season with back-to-back saves and then the last guy blasts it over the bar...Akron loses 3-2 on PKs. There isn't a worse way to lose a soccer game; that's an awful feeling.

Akron misses last PK to lose 3-2 on PKs. Too bad for Akron. THey had a great season. Too bad it ended this way. :(

Wooda been sweet to have a national champion from MAC - even if it was Akron.
