TOWSON, Md. - After rallying from a 12-point deficit in the final nine minutes, the Tigers seemed to be poised to upset George Washington University. However, sophomore guard Tony Taylor connected on an 18-foot jumper from the top of the key with 27 seconds remaining as the Colonials (8-2) held off an upset bid by the Tigers (2-5) in the Towson Center on Saturday afternoon.

With their eighth victory in ten games, the Colonials are off to their best start since they opened the 2005-06 season with a 9-1 record. In 2005-06, GW won the Atlantic-10 Conference regular season title and posted a final record of 27-3.

Taylor's jumper snapped a 69-69 tie and ruined the Tigers' second half comeback from a 12-point deficit.
