Best Start in Div I Era
Congrats to the Camels on their best men's basketball start in the DIV I era. 5-1 is much better than we have ever experienced in the last 30 years.
Also congrats to J-Rod on leading the A-Sun in Career Double - Doubles and being the leading scorer in the Div 1 error and second all time for Campbell. He needs 200 points or so the rest of the way to be the all-time scoring leader at Campbell. If he can keep the production up he should make it by the end of the year.
Also - I know some of you may have missed the last couple of games but Kraniack is playing well. He was a good pickup for us and should be a good player over his career. He can really shoot from three.
Lorne Merthie has cooled down the past three games or so. We need for him to pick it up if we are going to continue to win this year.

RE: Best Start in Div I Era
This is the best D-1 start for Western Carolina, too. It will be ON in Cullowhee!!
I really hope we can win on the road this year and build momentum as the year progresses. I want our best FINISH in D-1 history. By the numbers, I guess that will require a conference championship and keeping it within 25 in the NCAA 1st round. (Duke won by 26 in '92.)

I hope you guys take it to Western. Our league needs the RPI help. Keep up the good season.

I hope we have turned the corner.

After the Western game.... I think it's safe to say....the corner has been turned. Good Luck for the remainder of the season, the better you guys do, the better our win will be.
You guys have a pretty good team. If we could make layups and free throws we might could have won. I was glad to see us come back from the 17 point deficit to cut it to 3. Western made the baskets down the stretch to win the game and deserve the win. We should not get that far behind.
Hope you guys have a good season. Good luck and maybe you will win your conference.
