MAC in need of domination: Temple fits the bill.

Men's basketball in the MAC has been a disaster for the past five years and we are in need of a transfusion. Join the league in all sports and you can quickly dominate in hoops.

Its a match made in heaven! You get back your mojo (which has been lacking the past several years), the MAC gets some great publicity, and the rest of the league can resume getting better recruits.

Eh, we're already dominating a far superior basketball league (TWO-TIME DEFENDING ATLANTIC 10 CHAMPS -RESPECT!)

Love, love LOVE the MAC for football though. Would never think to leave for those jokers in Conference-USA.

Cue the people who want the MAC to demand Temple for all sports.

I'll pass, but thanks for the offer. We needed that tonight. Sick of losing to MAC teams. Wonder what Michael Bramos is doing?

Please tell me you're not responding to CE's post. That would make you the dominatrix and totally change the mental picture I have of you. Of course, it could only get better but still... a dominatrix? 03-wink

Actually, I happen to agree, but for a different sport. I was thinking about Marshall, and the years of domination they had in MAC football, and I always felt that they elevated the level of play in the years they were in the MAC, in that the other teams felt challeneged to compete at a high level. When Marshall was in the MAC is when the MAC had its run of multiple top 25 teams, and that bloody Saturday where a lot of BCS teams got taken down by the MAC. Football drives the bus, and if Temple (or any other team for that matter) became dominant, I think it would be good for the league, and by dominant, I mean that the level of play for all rises, and the league starts knocking off high leve BCS teams.

As far as all sports is concerned, every team in the MAC would have to do a calculation as to whether travel back and forth to Temple for gymnastics, volleyball and tiddle-y-winks makes sense financially. I doubt that it does, but I have never seen the numbers. Temple can be in the MAC for all sports even if they have aspirations for a BCS conference, because Temple's reality is that it won't happen for a very long time (5 years or more of demonstrated high level of success and attendance in FB).

Surprising he's not doing better than 6 a game, he's a great shooter. Team is third behind Olympiacos and Panathinaikos, which are both powerhouses.

So the photo of the dominatrix wasn't enough to convince you to join in all sports? Damn.
