Attendance
Okay so the Convocation holds 4500, how do we get that place filled up? The easy answer is to win games but I'd like to see at least 2500 people there. Do you guys think that it will happen this year? I am going to try my best to get everyone I know at school to go to the games. I mean, it's free for students so we have to at least fill up the student sections. That Belmont game was awesome! Even though we lost, when Markeith hit that 3 pointer to send it to overtime, the energy was unreal. I'm going to try and make it to every single home game remaining this season and I already have tickets to the road game against Georgia Tech.

I got mine free through a connection at the gt bookstore.
However I've seen them on Stubhub.com for as cheap as $4.

RE: Attendance
If we can start winning a bit, i think we can get some pretty good attendance numbers. Just looking at the boxscores and the two games i've been to, our attendance is def better then last year. I remember going to a few games over the past couple years on the weekend and i'm not exaggerating at all when i say it seemed like there were only 200 ppl at the game.

RE: Attendance
Still too many students whose first teams are UGA or Tech and not overly interested in KSU athletics. Winning will help that. Plus it would be nice to get a marquee home game. Am I correct in hearing that Tech are going to play at the Convocation Center next season?

Yes Sputnik. I believe that was the deal. We might have to go to their place twice...that is usually the arrangement when it is a high major and a low major. But from what I have heard, GT is coming back to our place at some point. I think it is next year.

Well I grew up the biggest UGA fan ever but now that I am a student at KSU, I made room for another team. Now that I live in Canton, it's only 20 minutes away to our games. Surely other students will do the same thing. I guess there aren't that many people who grew up KSU fans. Another problem I think is there isn't nearly the amount of info out there on KSU basketball as there is on UGA. Winning cures all.

RE: Attendance
Time cures all in a sense. Kennesaw has never been a 4 year college experience in the past. It was always a commuter school or a 2 year bridge to UGA. We now have the pieces in place to make it a 4 year home. Once that becomes more the norm, and we are graduating people who spent their entire duration at Kennesaw, lived on campus, attended sporting events - then Kennesaw will become a fixture in the community of NW Atlanta. I am starting to run into people all the time now that have a connection with Kennesaw State. I live 2 states away, and I just ran into a graduate the other day. Time will do the job as long as our athletic program continues to do things the right way, and of course have great success.
