Don't argue this with me. I didn't ask for or vote for him to be banned, I just put him on the ignore list. I'm just saying he is the classic troll in every sense of the definition.

He'll come back with a new name at some point but until then let's enjoy some positive posts about our favorite team. Like my parents always said Alum/NIJ: "If you've got nothing nice to say then say nothing at all." Nothing positive is achieved through negativity.

I agree that people need to have thick skin towards that kind of stuff, but you also need to take into consideration the other (probably) 95% of posters here that got annoyed by his comments for being worthless. When I sign onto this website, I expect to read things of importance and relevance. That's not to say he was the only one posting worthless stuff, but it becomes garbage and a nuisance when you know he's doing it on purpose and not from sheer ignorance (sorry: Maddawg).
Despite my finding out of the "block" option and blocking this ass clown, I still say good move on the ban, anybody who gets a rise out of "trolling" has serious issues and should spend that extra time getting professional help and re-evaluating their life, and not wasting a minute of it trying to get a rise and annoy people on an online forum

Don't we live in a democracy. We should all have a vote. Bleeds you are 22/23 now. You are more crochety than I am and I am twice your age.

This is a good place to get information, whether it be links, articles, highlights, rumors, or new insights, as well as different perspectives or points of view.
I don't usually support the banning of anybody as NIU can use as many die-hard posters as possible. However, when was the last time NIJ posted anything of any value or substance? As many have already astutely pointed out he regurgitated the same three or four posts daily. He had become a caricature of himself whose sole purpose was to annoy, agitate, and instigate. He will be back, but until then I could use the break.
I can't agree with those who have defended Nigel in here. I understand people have the right to be critical of the program, and raise questions, and things of that nature (we all do it around here). But Nigel and "theNEWguy" contributed absolutely nothing to the board except being trolls, and it's good they are both gone.
