RE: Flights to New Orleans
Remember Baton Rouge and Shreveport.

I'm seriously debating getting a room in Baton Rouge instead of staying in New Orleans. I've got friends in NOLA but I've done New Years there one time before, not sure I'm up for a repeat.

I've been told by OSU fans who were there for their loss against LSU that Biloxi is a great place to go as well. Unfortunately with the night before being New Years many of those places are booked already.

Biloxi is great and a very easy drive...straight interstate. The Beau Rivage is an MGM owned casino right on the coast and very nice. There are a few big casinos right around there.

I'm driving, staying on the beach in Gulf Shores AL (190 miles from New Orleans) in a 2 bdrm condo for $119 a night, then going to N.O. on Friday, staying the night there at prolly a holiday inn or something, then going home.

RE: Flights to New Orleans
Just figured out gas expenses for 4 people in my '06 V6 Accord... About $63/person total, and that includes an extra tank of gas just in case (from Anderson TWP to New Orleans and back).

Thought the figures might help people with their decision making.
