He'll go to ND, they'll win a ton of games, academics and ethical standards will be thrown out the window, players will be in trouble all over the place, and NOBODY WILL CARE as long as they're winning again.

Probably right, dip. Just like few people cared when they gave Obama an honorary degree, despite his advocacy for abortion rights.

Notre Dame as all about hype and prestige these days, values have taken a back seat.

Exactly. But Kelly will have no knowledge of/responsibility for anything negative that happens. Because he don't play that way.

I first disliked him because he was coaching the Chimps. But it's gone way beyond that with me. He's arrogant. Nothing is ever his fault. He's shady. And it's all about Brian.

I imagine him in front of SNL's Stewart Smalley's mirror, saying "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, I'm the best football coach in the world, and doggone it, I love me!"

And Phil, I don't EVER remember N.D. being about anything other than hype and prestige. Personality-wise, Kelly's probably a good fit.

They used to stand for some things, Whinny. They-at least the top leadership-sure don't anymore.

BYU would not have brought Obama in. ND didn't hesitate one second.
