He took over for a crook and did lead NIU out of some real problems. I think he did a pretty good job. Peters is the best though.

I sat next to him at the first Vanderbilt game in Nashville in 1994. He knew a bit about football.

I don't know if he was a good president, but he was instrumental in getting Faraday West built. Faraday West is pretty cool, especially when compared to the ugliness of the original Faraday.
