Gateway Conference > Sun Belt Conference
You still think so WKY fans after finishing up your 0-12 season? It's a lot harder than it looks playing D1 ball.

Quit being a dick! Most of us knew how difficult it was gonna be - we just had no idea our couach was going to suck this bad. WE should have won 3-4 games this season at least.

RE: Gateway Conference > Sun Belt Conference
The 2002 WKU team was so much better is the problem. No one projected this downward spiral since then under Failson. The RPI says it all. Our RPI in 2002 was 62 now it is 201. The transition would have been much smoother under a better coach. 03-puke

you guys would know since you sucked so bad 2 short years ago you lost to a 1aa team 'at home'.

must not be too hard to turn it around if it can be done at middle. you guys just changed coaches right??? gonna wait for you to tell me how 'special' middle is and how easy it was to turn it around from being a joke that loses to 1aa teams at home to a bowl eligible team.

waiting......

Yeah, look how hard FAU had it...

"2007 Sun Belt Conference champions and received an invitation to the 2007 New Orleans Bowl, its first ever bowl bid. As a result, in just the third year playing in Division I, Florida Atlantic set an NCAA record by becoming the youngest program ever to receive an invitation to a bowl game."

Yeah.
But beed, we never threw up an 0-12 spot. That takes talent.

The same way you guys got blown out by a transitional DII team at home!

We have more than made up for that for that freak loss to you guys by hanging 63 on you this year. Could have easily been 100 if had not put the subs in after half time. Keeping hanging on to that win a you guys got a few years ago its gonna be a long time before that happens again.

No it doesn't. Gateway teams and Sunbelt teams play so few opponents in common that it is actually pretty irrelavent.

so your loss to us was a 'freak loss' but ours to uca wasn't? and you start the whole thread about how freakin' difficult it is to win in 1a.....right???

but you go from a team that loses at home to a terrible 1aa team (us) to a bowl bound team in 2 short years....right??? now what is so 'special' about middle (other than the borracho's tendency to cross dress) that winning in 1a is not difficult for you.

if you guys can do it in 2 short years why can't we expect some success??? and your great record this year is built on beating terrible teams. you got humiliated and ran off the field in troy. what makes it so 'easy' to win at middle??? i seriously want to know what we're in store for. we have a new coach in taggart. what was stockstill's can't miss qualifications wherever he came from???

it's a lot harder than it looks.....

i'm still laughing at that whole statement. thank you for the comedy.

RE: Gateway Conference > Sun Belt Conference
You can't even compare the two years. Western was IAA and allowed to bring in recruits from Div I schools without making them sit for a year. IAA can build a team quickly by taking in transfers from other schools. WKU had a good team that year but their attendance showed the lack of school support. I would bet that this year's 0-12 team had a better attendance average than their "National Championship" year..

I was hoping for WKU to win Thursday. You'd have been one win closer to ELITE status. And the SBC needs all the ELITE teams it can get.
