The ESPNU announcers discuss the MAC COY possibilities during the OU/Temple game yesterday. It got me wondering what the consensus around here was. Who gets your vote for MAC COY?

Butch Jones - 10-2 (8-0). Last year: 8-5 (6-2)
Frank Solich - 9-3 (7-1). Last year: 4-8 (3-5)
Al Golden - 9-3 (7-1). Last year: 5-7 (4-4)
Dave Clawson - 7-5 (6-2). Last year: 6-6 (4-4)
Jerry Kill - 7-5 (5-3). Last year: 6-7 (4-4)

Solich over Golden.

If the Temple frosh RB hadn't been hurt, had played well, and Temple won yesterday, then it would have been Golden.

Jones, Solich and Golden ALL had great seasons.

IF Golden gets a top flight QB next season, the Owls will soar big time next year and Golden will be COY (assuming he is still at Temple come next September).

Jones! CMU will be very good for years to come. This guy can recruit.

Golden. I'm not saying the other people don't deserve it as well, but you have to think they will give it to him.

That is true.

Even though I didn't vote for Jones, he has built a great program.

The only reason I voted for Solich is kind of a YoY (year over year) kind of thing.

Jones is an excellent coach.

We have one, Chris Coyer.

Anyway, Golden over Solich. Solich has been working with full scholarship allotment, Golden hasn't.

Temple's coach will win it just because the Owls have been bad forever.
