MAC Blogger Picks: Week 13
http://bull-run.blogspot.com/2009/11/mac...ek-13.html

New Leader this week, LGR has been riding a hot streak and is now just ahead of Fire Up Chips. The MAC Daily and Falcon Blog are probably the only other blogs within shooting distance of 1st place. After this week the only picks left will be the Conference Championship and the Bowls involving MAC teams (maybe six games in total).

I'm suprised all the sites are picking KSU over Buffalo. KSU is down to something like its 4th string QB at this point.

Buffalo has looked very capable at times only to not get it done.

RE: MAC Blogger Picks: Week 13
Georgio Morgan was our first-string QB when the season started, but got hurt. Anthony Magazu, a senior was second-string. Spencer Keith was expected to redshirt this season, but quickly was thrown into action. Our 4th string QB is a redshirt, and it would be truly bizarre if they used that redshirt up for one game. Calling Morgan and Magazu 4th string is very inaccurate. Calling them unaccomplished would be accurate.

Well Roosevelt is out again...

But you're right Buffalo is three single plays away from being 7-4
Last second BG TD Pass
Last second INT against Ohio
OT Loss to WMU

Buffalo and Kent are on par teams, and Kent is at home so I think either is a valid pick but most picks are falling Kents way

It's pretty obvious that all the bloggers haven't heard of the WMU national TV curse. No matter WHO they are playing, they never win those games. This could be really embarrassing.

Small crowd (students on way home), senior night, TV game and a 1-10 opponent. Hiller needs 3 TD passes tonight to pass Pennington as all time MAC record holder, although LeFevour will probably pass him with several games yet to play.

13-10 at halftime. Hiller has never beaten BSU and always plays poorly against them. He has an int and a fumble tonight. Luckily, our DB picked off BSU right away and the Broncos got right down the field and scored.

But the TV jinx has not yet been broken. Still a half to play.

What did I tell you? The next time you bloggers have to pick a WMU game, check first to see if it is on national TV. You've been warned. The jinx lives. Choke job all around.

BSU beats WMU 22-17. How embarrassing. On national TV, no less. Hiller throws a career high 4 interceptions and 1 TD pass. Pathetic.

Pathetic? Not really. Ball State was due to win one of these close MAC games. They lost to Toledo in the last 30 seconds by 7, Temple by 4, Ohio by 3, and Northern Illinois by 6. And besides, Ball State has had Western's number lately. Hiller never beat them.

RE: MAC Blogger Picks: Week 13
Look pal, I wasn't really taking a shot at BSU. All the average Joe sees is a 1-10 team beating a team with a better record. An upset. I knew that BSU has played some of their games really tough this year and I knew that they've had our number the last few years. There is some good young talent on that team. Your team is probably better than 1-10 in terms of talent. But the fact remains that they had only won one game so we are embarrassed to lose our final game at home to your team.

If your team lost on senior night at home to a 1-10 team, I'm betting you'd be rather embarrassed, as well. You finally get a national TV game and your team and your star QB stinks it up (again). Not a great way to go into the off-season for WMU and into the post Hiller era. Not to mention a great way to showcase your program to recruits around the country.

But, as you can see, I saw this one coming. Hasn't been a stellar season in Broncoland. The natives are very restless. And embarrassed.
