Big Marlo to redshirt
He didn't dress out and Jeff indicates on his blog that he will redshirt. Apparently, he wants to be here 5 years to be sure he earns his degree. Boy, those foreign kids are strange. They actually care about education. I look forward to having Marlo here for the next two seasons, especially with us losing Svelte Mike, Dewayne, and possibly even Bails.

Helps to even out the classes a little. That is good news.

I would either redshirt Nick, or get him into the first seven rotation. Actually I prefer the latter. He doesn't know the system yet, but Kelson and Derrick do, and they don't do any better than he does, and he has the potential to be a real scorer with experience. Give it to him now, and we're that much further ahead when the conference season begins, and certainly next season. III and C. They need to be on the court at the same time, sometimes. I know you'll think I'm crazy, but at times, when Courtney needs a breather, I'd move Alex to the four and put Nick in at the 3. Alex can rebound with most taller players because he's quick off the floor and is relentless. He had five rebounds last night.01-lauramac2

I don't care if he's 4 feet tall. He can play some in a four guard offense.
But hey, Steve hasn't called me for guidance lately anyway. Actually don't I recall us playing some like that last night on a few occasions?
I seem to remember at one point late in the game where Mike was the only true inside player in the game. Might be an option at times during the middle of the game.04-cheers

4-guard offense doesn't do well with inside 1st option.

The only one we ever seem to pass it inside to is Mike, so there's your inside option. It's the outside option we can't ever seem to get right.
Actually not at all. If half a loaf is better than none, then we've perfected the basketball version of that. 04-cheers

I have to agree with Scotto. Unless we are FAR better shooters than we have ever been, we can't get by with a 6-4 at the 4.

I think you meant to say that he wants to be here 3 years, unless he's on the 7 year undergraduate plan.

They actually care about education.

Can you imagine that!
Actually, I would say the entire UALR athletic department does, given our record.
