I've always rooted for the Gators, but not only was that a disgusting act by Spikes, it was equally as disgusting for Urban to suspend him for one freakin half. Awful.

Not only was he suspended for only one half, it's against (drum roll, please) VANDERBILT!!!

This is really disappointing news to hear from Meyer. When he took over at BG he had no trouble clearing out the riff raff and holding players accountable. I guess it all changes when the big money is on the table. Sad.

What did Robert Reynolds, the Ohio State linebacker, get as a punishment for choking Wisconsin's Jim Sorgi a few years ago? One game or one half?

After the game, Big Ten commissioner James Delany commented, "(Reynolds' actions) have no place in our game." Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel said "Robert's conduct was totally unacceptable and has no place in intercollegiate athletics." Ohio State suspended Reynolds for one game and Reynolds issued a public apology.

Coach Frank Solich gave Johnson the standard team punishment for first offenders: six days, including a Sunday, studying in the football office.
