I've always rooted for the Gators, but not only was that a disgusting act by Spikes, it was equally as disgusting for Urban to suspend him for one freakin half. Awful.

Contrary to what the media might say, Mrs. Meyer's husband is NOT a disciplinarian.

I know, which is why Spikes won't miss the first half against Vandy for 'time served for good behavior'. Sickening.

Of course if he played for Ohio, then he would have had to sit in the coaches office for six days as his penalty

If he played for Ohio, he would've been thrown out of football by the NCAA.

This is really disappointing news to hear from Meyer. When he took over at BG he had no trouble clearing out the riff raff and holding players accountable. I guess it all changes when the big money is on the table. Sad.

What did Robert Reynolds, the Ohio State linebacker, get as a punishment for choking Wisconsin's Jim Sorgi a few years ago? One game or one half?

This is from wiki, so take it with a grain of salt:

After the game, Big Ten commissioner James Delany commented, "(Reynolds' actions) have no place in our game." Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel said "Robert's conduct was totally unacceptable and has no place in intercollegiate athletics." Ohio State suspended Reynolds for one game and Reynolds issued a public apology.

How quickly they forget.....

Coach Frank Solich gave Johnson the standard team punishment for first offenders: six days, including a Sunday, studying in the football office.
