2009 Western Kentucky is now officially the worst Division I-A team to grace the field at Floyd Stadium.

i've been telling people on this board that we'll finish 0-12 for at least a month. this is not some kind of reverse spin where i predict that and then we get some wins to make us look better. i've been to the games. i called 0-12 after the uca game.

what's sad is not how bad we lost to middle....it's how we lost to a team that is not very good by that margin. middle is who we thought they were....they are who we thought they were....the team that got dominated by troy and mississippi state.

they have NO RUNNING GAME at all other than their qb improvising on runs. no running backs to speak of. they took a page out of our opponents books and declared holy war on jihad morris' ass and burned him all night long. one of the td's was suspect as the receiver DID push him off right before the ball arrived.....definite o-pass interference but that would only matter if you were in the game....we weren't.

what was the announced attendance because the crowd looked awful for such a pretty day for football??? i do understand that it was homecoming and all the fratties and sorries returning to campus don't actually come to the game but remain in the tents trying to relive some 'porkys' type nostalgia but the crowd looked pretty weak on the tube. i haven't seen that much bare aluminum since i toured the 'alcoa plant' in lewisburg ky.

i am quite sure that unt has to be licking their chops for our game. the heat is being cranked up on eLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLson.....folks expected to struggle but didn't sign up to be dominated by mediocre teams. that is what is happening.

Mississippi State is much better than in years past and Troy is a damn good team. Our running game is weak because our backs are injured. We may not be "very good," but I bet we go bowling.

Hey Beed,
When we're not outgaining you by about 8K a game in attendance, come back and talk.
When WKU safeties aren't getting out run by freshman walk-on WRs and true freshman cornerbacks on reverses, come back and talk.
When you have a winning record, have beaten more than one I-A team, and have actually beaten a BCS team come back and talk.

We still have better attendance than WKU.
We still have better athletes than WKU.
We still have a better team than WKU.
We still lead the series with WKU.
We still have a better program than WKU.

Talk your smack all you want about basketball, but when it comes to FB, go back to the kids table. Grown ups are trying to do business.

and you still have a 'mediocre' team that got your culo handed to you on national t.v. against troy. 'mediocre'....nothing more. if you're gauging yourself against wku in their first year of 'big boy football' you guys have the wrong measuring stick out.

you come back and tell me when you get some pub for the conference like our hoops team has. your baseball choked and your chick hoops team always chokes.

i have a new slogan for your university....'come to middle tennessee state university......we put the middle in expectations and results....and we achieve it'

you do look like a grown up against us but when you play troy or miss. state you are exposed as a pimply face pubescent that screams you want to go out with the best looking girl in school when you can't even pick up the fat chick on the smoking patio.

you better get on back to the star wars convention with the rest of your buddies, you're in no discussion with the adults.

p.s. what was the attendance yesterday in the tin-can dome??? @ homecoming for your 'biggest rival'???

Attendance was 17,700, during the UT-Alabama game and after getting boatraced in our last two games.

So, to recap: Disapppointing crowd for us would be about the fifth biggest crowd in WKU history.

Like I said, run your smack about MBB. You deserve that.

But please, beat us in SOMETHING before you come back with anything else.

is the word 'middle' a synonym for 'mediocre'??? i know that 'mediocre' is a synonym for 'middling' and watching you guys wallow around in football leads me to believe that 'middle' is also.

Beed your assertion that the it was "a beautiful day for football" is a bit misleading. Up until about a half hour before kickoff it was overcast, cold and windy. Once the clouds finally parted it was an absolutely gorgeous day, but for those who's attendance can be swayed by weather(especially after the previous week) had probably already made up their mind to stay home and watch the game on television before the weather turned.

And the reported attendance of just under 18k was most definitely accurate.
