Feel your pain there Mean Green. In 2006, ULM was 15 points away from being a 9-3 team vs a 4-8 team with 2 point losses to Kansas and Kentucky.

So let me get this straight:
We're 3-3 with a 16-point win at North Texas
FAU is 1-4 with a four-point win at North Texas

uh-yeah... for conference rankings you just go by conference games/records.

That's why we have co-conference champions, if 2 teams are 6-2 in conference, they both are champions, just the team with the win over the other gets the nod to go to NO bowl.
So yeah, these are the rankings, FAU & MT have the same conference records.

actually, UL at 4-2 is very impressive... No Fenroy, Des'mo, or Chery... 4-2, very impressive indeed.

Far be it for me to criticize your last two W's but, in comparison to Troy and to a lesser extent ULM, the margins of victory leave room for consideration.

Right now I wouldn't have ULM as #1 or tied due to the fact that Revell went down and is out 3-6 weeks. We start a redshirt Freshman against Kentucky and Revell may not be back for the Troy game but we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Based upon pass performance I think the ranking is right but as they stand right now with injuries I am not so sure.

You're right if we were discussing conference standings, but we aren't, we're talking power rankings, the two are not the same thing. Just because you are tied in conference standings(especially after just two conference game) does not mean the two teams are just as good as one another.

Didn't see that, but just for argument's sake he should have put "conference standings". To me rankings always denotes a certain level of objectivity, standings however are just win and loss records.

It doesn't matter. MTSU and FAU both only have one conference win. I can't say much as ASU has zero.

this has been a crazy year in the Belt. Middle, stAte, and FAU all being big dissapointments came out of nowhere. I was worried about Troy there for a couple weeks, but i'm glad we are back to our usual selves. just hope that doesn't lead to an untimely Conference loss to keep us out of New Orleans.

Uhhh, MT is 3-3 and won 2 of their OOC games. Has only lost 1 conference game. Far from a big disappointment.

We were picked anywhere from 4th to 5th in the preseason polls.
