Brad St.Louis released
From Rotoworld via Rosencrans Twitter w/ Rotoworld comments:

Oct. 13 - 6:47 pm et

Bengals signed LS/TE Clark Harris, formerly of the Texans.

Now the most popular man in Cincinnati, Harris will replace the ousted Brad St. Louis as the long snapper.

Oct. 13 - 6:45 pm et

Bengals released LS Brad St. Louis.

And Bengals fans rejoice! St. Louis has misfired on multiple snaps over the past few weeks, almost costing the team a win at Cleveland. He's not going to get a look from another team any time soon.

RE: Brad St.Louis released
I'm not rejoicing - I feel bad for him. He put in a lot of time on bad teams so it's a shame he won't get to be a part of a pretty good one so far. It sure looks like he just lost his release point similar to what's happened to other guys including in other sports.

On the other hand, the Bengals can't go on with that kind of uncertainty around their long snaps and they gave him a very reasonable chance to straighten things out - at least by NFL standards. And really if you think about the big picture, St. Louis has made a helluva career out of being able to do just one thing considering how valuable roster spots are. For all his recent problems, at least he went out on a good snap and didn't directly cost us a game this year even if he did hurt us against Denver. As a 10 year vet, he's probably got quite an NFL pension to boot so I guess I really don't feel all that bad for him. Good luck to him all the same!

Harris was a pretty good TE in college at Rutgers so there's a chance he'll at least add a little depth there. But the critical thing is that he is consistent on the long snaps.

RE: Brad St.Louis released
Something had to be done....there are too many players in the NFL at that position who can do it competently NOT to have it done well...

It would be like having an epileptic holder...it just wouldn't make any sense.
