The group was created in 2002, after the re-opening of the Montréal Impact, when a group of fans decided to bring organized and vocal support to Impact games. Their slogan is "Toujours Fidèles" which is French for Always Faithful.

Following discussions held on the impactsoccer.com forum in 2009 and 2010 about the possibility of forming a new supporters’ group, meetings were held amongst independent supporters early in 2011. After many weeks of deliberations, pints of beer, emails and much back-and-forth on another forum, a new group was born with the temporary moniker 217 – Force Montréal.

Passionate supporters of the Montreal Impact, we will be in the stands to cheer for our team, not just be passive. We want to be both seen and heard, with our voices, flags, banners and instruments, yet our goal is not be standing and singing the whole 90. It’s more of a feel-it-as-you-go-along kind of atmosphere.
