CALs offense should be great this year, they return most skill position players including two experienced QBs. There Defense is suspect though as is special teams, if the team gels early in the season then they could contend for conf titles, if D and special teams don't come through I see a 6-5 or 5-6 campaign.

I think the pac ten will be solid this season, the biggest question mark teams seem to be ASU, UW Oregon St and Wazzu.

ASU and UW looked great on paper last season and fell apart, OSU and Wazzu lost some key players following very successful seasons, UCLA is a bit of a mystery as well.

I think the Pac-10 will make a bit of a comeback this year. They are a long way from the Big Ten, what the Pac-10 needs is for USC to become a perennial top 5 team.

I disagree about the Big Ten being better, if you look at Pac Ten / Big Ten matchups over the past 5 years the pac ten has done well. Also the pac ten has won more BCS bowl games as well. If USC finishes with 9 or more wins this year, they are back up there with the FSUs and other 'dynasty' type teams. The problem with the Pac Ten is they tend to have a down year every few seasons conf wide, the Big Ten , big 12 and SEC don't have down years like that from top to bottom

I agree, but I still think that the PAC10 will do great this year.

I agree that the Pac-10 will be back when people thought we had a down year. USC, Cal, and Wazzu did win bowl games last year against quality teams but many people are not talking about that at all and that is okay. USC and Cal are 1-2 in my mind for right now but things will probably change once the season starts. Go Cougs!!

On paper ASU and UCLA seem to be the wild cards along with CAL, I think CAL is slightly overrated heading into the season, they are picked to finish second by most pubs Im seeing them more as a #3-5 team, they have some question marks and although they finished the season strong they struggled at times as well.

I agree with u about CAL. They remind me of Oregon where they have a great offense but they give up way to many points on defense. I can't wait to see the first football game of the season. It's boring without college football. I expect Geoff McArthur to have a great season.

As usual the Pac Tens gonna be wide open this season, at least in the battle for second, without some Defensive impovements by the lower 9, USC will once again cruise into Pasadena.

QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Geoff McArther on offense.

Defense is sort of unkown.
