QB SITUATION?
Anyone have any updates on the QB situation? Whatever happened to Payne, the highly touted QB from the Cleveland area??? Hope the vertical passing game is somewhat resurrected.

RE: QB SITUATION?
Payne must be red-shirting. It's between McMahon and Gillett for the starters job but I would expect that both see playing time.

RE: QB SITUATION?
Tough going into the MAC season with 2 relatively inexperienced QB's. Hope one of the 2 step up and the Defense improves. Need to get the vertical passing game going.

RE: QB SITUATION?
McMahon has experience. I'm sure they will rely on the running game. In these last two games, the plan was to run short passing routes. Now in MAC play, hopefully we can get it up the field a little more.

RE: QB SITUATION?
With Andy is was always the short pass, he was not very good over 15 yards but anything shorter than that he was very very good.

RE: QB SITUATION?
McMahon has a gun for an arm so long downfield passes should not be a problem for him. Unfortunately in 12 games he's played he's thrown 13 interceptions. Most of those were his freshmen year.

Gillett has the wheels and is probably a better running QB than passer at this level. He looked like he could handle the running options very well in the U of M game.

I don't see Jason Williams mentioned. I heard he was recovering from an injury.

RE: QB SITUATION?
Gillett is shown as number one on the depth chart for the Temple game, not sure if it means anything - I believe both will play unless McMahon is still destined for a redshirt year.

RE: QB SITUATION?
I heard RE on WTKA last Friday and he talked like both would play. You can find the podcast on WTKA.com.
