At this point in the game, the South Carolina GameCocks should be up by at least two touchdowns, in my humble opinion. Their quarterback hurts them from being up more before the td they just scored against the Ole Miss Rebels.

Yes, apparently it is very nice. The university has owned it since 1941.

But it's still off campus at the state fairgrounds. If we had half that kind of atmosphere I would be happy.

**sorry, adjacent to the fairgrounds....basically across the street.

I was thinking the same thing, their lofty ranking is once again being propped up by an inaccurate QB.

ESPN pulls out the "look he slammed his helmet and yelled at his teammates to fire them up on the bench" treatment for a struggling star athlete the broadcast was going to be about.

Yikes, that 4th & 5 play was ugly.

Ole Miss is showing they are complete frauds. They have no business being in the top 5, much less the top 10. They may have a favorable schedule with some tougher teams at home, but they are in trouble IMO.

Kind of like most Tiger fans are toward Middle Tennessee and Arkansas State? (or any other Sunbelt team for that matter) (Heck, toward most C-USA programs too)

After the Memphis game and now watching this, I'm beginning to think that if UT can hang 10pts on the board down in Oxford we might beat the Rebels.

If Bass was healthy and ready, I think we could have been in that game.

Fowler gave us some props, said the game was closer than the score.

Old Myth is a fraud, but they still beat us.

So how long are they going to have "the flu", until the 2011 season?

Um.. we WERE in that game. Driving the ball in the 4th quarter, in Ole Miss territory, with a chance to cut it to a field goal.

Then we lined up in a shotgun on 4th and 1, and that was ballgame.

I guess the feeling that you are outnumbered in your own city and stadium is one reason for this kind of attitude versus the Rebels, in my humble opinion.

And just what makes you think that we should honestly be competitive with them every year. They are in the $EC, have far superior facilities and much better recruiting success. The only reason that they do not have the level of success against us as ut is more of a negative against them than it is a positive for us. While I don't necessarily think that they should blow us off the field, asking for a <10 game on a regular basis is a stretch for a non-BcS program that is not top in their league against a BcS team.
