They win SEC titles once every 30 years? National Championships every 150?
I may have found the one pocket protector that isn't obsessed with the Dawgs, either that or your math is worse than it's supposed to be.
UGA has won two SEC championships this decade '02 and '05 and correct me if I'm wrong(you are supposed to be good at math right?) that is way less than 30 years.
Congrats on the first win in the series this decade but I wouldn't expect another after LSU exposed Paul Johnson in the Peach Bowl. Perhaps in another 8 years you can hire another coach with another gimmick offense and you can get your one win next decade...
The gimmick offense that has Paul Johnson in the company of Barry Switzer for most wins in first 12 years coaching? How convenient of you to self-impose the beginning of UGA football in '02. Care to redo the math all-time, or was my 150 years not enough of a hint?
LSU didn't expose anything that wasn't already obvious. Stack the box and send the house and force GT to beat you in the air. You run the risk of being gouged for bomb after bomb in all man coverage with little to no safety support. But, our current QB cannot reliably punish defenses for that yet, if tonight's 1-12 with 2 INT performance before the final two drives weren't a sufficient indicator of that.
We'll see you and Ginger Ninja in Atlanta. Be sure to give Spraytan Richt some better "man up" speeches to deliver on the sideline when he's being outscored 26-0 in a single quarter by that high school offense. The last one didn't work so well.
I have seen nothing from GT that worries me. You may be right about UGA if they don't improve, but in general, GT is nowhere near the position to think they scare any UGA fans.
As far as starting in '02, I actually started in '01, but whatever...
All time wins UGA 724 GT 665
Head to head 59-39-5 in Georgia's favor
Georgia's record against ACC 152-92-18
Georgia Tech's record vs. SEC 200-207-24
Heisman Trophy winners UGA 2 GT 0
And your saving grace, Georgia Tech has more national championships and won one more recently, but it's been nearly two decades since Georgia Tech's national championship as opposed to nearly three since Georgia's. At that point, does it really matter? Sure, it does a little, but if you haven't won a national title in over 1 decade it's not exactly something you should be bragging about. I don't go around wearing a 1980 National Championship shirt, do you walk around with your 1990 National Championship shirt? At this point none of UGA's current traditional undergrad population was alive for their last national championship and it's only a few years from it being the same case at Georgia Tech. So while you have the one thing to hang your hat on, overall I'd say history is on the Dawg's side.
