Embarrassing losses to 1-AA teams are pretty much a rite of passage in this conference anyway. I think we've all been there.

The funny thing is, yeah, it sucks and it's embarrassing to lose to an FCS team, but Nova is a top top FCS team. They'd beat plenty of teams in FBS. No excuses, it's a terrible loss, but we didn't exactly lose to the equivalent of a HS team...

And this is something I will never understand. If you're going to schedule a FCS team, make it a bad one like Indiana State. Playing Villanova is lose/lose.

I'm sure the Big East is still excited about getting Temple back.

Not much real harm done. With Ball State, Army, Miami, and Kent on the home schedule they should win a few in MAC play as usual.
They also play Ohio too.
They play Ohio on the road.
Kent State, only 18 points of offense against a Big South team.
A dominating shutout win that wasn't reflected by the final score as it was only 18-0, your point is?

Indiana was an EKU fumble away from learning last night to not schedule FCS playoff teams.

This is why the MAC will always be what it is. Look at the other conferences, and see if they act like this. They all pull for their conference teams in OOC games. We get what we deserve by our actions. Only the Big11 has more total grads than the MAC, we could be a force if we all pulled together and supported our teams. Instead most MAC alums act like asses as in this case and they root for UM or OSU instead. Pretty sad.

Thank You. Both the Ball State and Temple losses suck for the conference. With BG's win over Troy - the MAC legitimately could have opened the season 4 - 0. Instead, 2 - 2 with 2 bad losses. I ALWAYS root for EVERY MAC TEAM in OOC games.

You really think tOSU fans were disappointed Michigan lost to Toledo and Applachian State?

Please don't say the rest of the MAC. I am certainly not included in your pathetic show of sportsmanship to a conference mate. I don't care if some Temple fans have been arrogant on here.

Those losses didn't take money out of their pocket. Where the five non-AQ leagues finish in the standings determines their share of the revenue. Easy to have a million or two million dollar loss when you aren't in an AQ league.

I'd like to hear about it. I'm pretty sure my rooting has never affected the outcome of a game.
Nor does my rooting affect any outcomes, but I still root for MAC teams in OOC play and I don't derive any joy when they lose. Some do (not accusing you of that).

This loss has no bearing on whether Temple wins the MAC or not. And if somehow they do, any Temple fan has every right to bring this thread back for a good laff.

And isn't that "good laff" the same reason why this thread was probably started to begin with? Temple fans talking smack about running through the league and then leaving it and also LOLing at Nick's prediction of a close game?
