Vandy coach swapped 100k raise to fund Aussie trip

Wow, I never thought much of Coach Stallings one way or another but my opinon of him has certainly risen. I wish him and his team well in the SEC this year. Who better to root for in that league?

Im editing this because in my stupor this morning i forgot to notice that Stallings was the basketball coach. Still an honor in itself.

As a longtime Vandy fan, I have have really respected Stallings and his style of basketball. He's definitely cut from a different cloth.

I remember asking Coach Cal a couple of years ago when we played WKU here in Nashville why we never played Vandy. He simply told me that he and Kevin were good friends and just didn't really want to play against coaches he's personal friends with. Coach Robic backed him up and said to me that it wasn't going to happen any time soon.

It sounded kind of lame to me at the time, but I sort of understand that, now.
