Where's the beef? - Little Rock
Among the nine teams that have this year’s roster posted, it is not even close as to which team has the most beef. Taking the average weight of the four heaviest players:

UALR – 272
NT – 239
FAU – 238
ULM – 234
USA – 234
Troy – 228
UNO – 228
WKU - 223
Denver - 214

Where do we rank in AAP (average acceleration per pound)?

Hmmmm. Interesting stat. Big Ticket gets around pretty well for his girth.

Mike is far from being a Big Jelly, even though he usually carries too much weight. I wish we could play him at the 4. He is way too short for a 5, where he usually ends up.

I fear that our post players are frighteningly similiar to the JJ, Ray, Razz, Thornton quartet who were all good, but very similar players. I would like to see a little more versatility.

I don't see a Shane Edwards in this bunch (although I haven't actually "seen" most of them). Seems like we will have a bunch of physical bangers and not a whole lost of finesse. Big Mike may have the best moves of the bunch.

Shields' teams are getting into a pattern of being under height but heavy. In pounds per inch of height, we have to be WAY out on front in the SBC.

Courtney will be the closest thing we have to Shane. I'm not comparing him yet, but remember, he'll just be a sophomore, and he's the type of player who will work hard to improve. Give him this season with a lot of minutes, and he could be a force his Junior and Senior seasons.01-lauramac2
