Negatory. He has been cleared to enroll. He still needs to be cleared to play which is much more in doubt.

I can see where the assumption was made, and justifiably so. Do Katz and sports writers specialize in vagary? Clearinghouse make nothing clear to begin with, let alone subliminal semantics on the part of sports writers. It's no wonder 95% of us in here are deemed idiots. Actually, it's a compliment.
"Highly touted forward Renardo Sidney has been cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center and will enroll at Mississippi State on Monday in time for the first day of classes, his attorney, Donald Jackson, told ESPN.com.
Jackson said that the investigation into Sidney's amateurism eligibility is still ongoing and may take a few months."
