Funny thing was... I clicked on it by accident in my bookmarks. But then I saw it and decided to share.

RE: Show's what Moe and MAC Daily know.....
In hindsight, the denial is unsurprising.

UNO was a 9-2 vote in favor. A third no vote would have denied them as well. LSSU and WMU were the no votes back then. Considering the economy in Michigan and Ohio, FSU or BGSU adding the third no vote to LSSU and WMU wouldn't be the most shocking thing ever.

I expect the CCHA to be down to an 8 team conference by 2020 anyway, with BGSU, FSU and WMU all folding. And the old discussion about how we won't have enough D1 teams then? We'll take track back up. Lord knows it's cheaper.

Well I guess I will have to start rooting for scUM.
By the way, does anyone out there know how to make this handgun taste more appealing?

Booze improves most things.

In slightly "brighter" news, a NMU fan over at USCHO leaked the proposed schedule for the Wildcats for 2010-2011, the first year without UNO and apparently UAH, and it has the CCHA reverting to a 30 game conference schedule, 3 vs. each team, and a near guarantee of 6 total home games vs. the "Big 4" (OSU, MSU, scUM, ND). That's good for the bottom line, if nothing else. A trip to Alaska yearly means 6 non-conference openings because of the Alaska scheduling exemption.

You have a link for that? I've been looking for the last 30 min and I can't find it.

A couple things of interest would be the 2/25-26 series, which appears to have WMU going up north and playing NMU once, and possibly then heading to LSSU on Saturday. The same with NMU coming to Lawson as the first game of road trips to Ferris and BG on Saturday nights. Seeing different teams the same weekend could be interesting.

If you read up, you'll notice that we're discussing the hypothetical schedule for the 2010-11 CCHA season with 11 teams.

I think that you're comparing different years. The post from USCHO is for the 10-11 season. The schedule on the NMU website is for 09-10. If you notice, the dates do not match up.

I'm a bigger fan of having the same team for the entire weekend, but what are you going to do? If you have two different teams come in on the same weekend to play a high-ranking opponent, one could catch them off guard as you just can't play the same gameplan.
