The Bubs
Looks like the boys are bigger, stronger, and ready to knock some heads off! 05-mafia

Our likely starting lineup, IMHO:

LT Jake Olson, R-Fr, 6'8", 282lb.
LG Jeff Maddux, Jr, 6'5", 315lb.
C Collin Miller, Jr, 6'3", 292lb.
RG Allen Ollenburger, Sr., 6'4", 279lb.
RT Rocky Weaver, So, 6'6", 272lb.

There are nine guys weighing in at 280lb+ now. Looks like the Bubs have really bought into the strength and conditioning program.

Yeah, the size is nice, CMF, but how about "foot quickness?" That's critically important today. Wisconsin's offensive line is bigger than the Packers', but they get killed by defensive lines with speed. I do like our "Killer B's" linebackers, Bellore and Berning. They are fast and sure tacklers. The secondary has to really step it up this year.

RE: The Bubs
True. The good news is that Olson and converted TE Weaver were both recruited because they have good feet, length, and can move well. The challenge was in bulking them up. I understand Olson had a medical condition that caused him to have trouble keeping mass on. It's also the reason he didn't report until a year after he was expected. My understanding is: he's fine now.

The three guys in the middle are proven and should have no trouble, IMO. Ollenberger (RG) is also a converted TE, Miller is one of the better Centers in the country, and Maddox is a beast. We have more depth this season also, if not a lot of experience, with guys like Anthony Quinn (Jr. 6'4", 310lb!), Matt Kanitz (R-Fr, 6'6", 286lb), Richard Hayes (R-Fr 6'3", 272lb), Todd Johnson (Sr, 6'4" 298), and Darren Keyton (R-
Fr 6"3", 298lb) ready to step in. I've heard good things about Kanitz and Keyton in particular.

As for the defense, our front seven should be very good, if we can keep and get some bodies healthy on the DL! The secondary looks to be the best in recent memory with Gordy, Edwards, Williams, and Scott all looking to play at CB. We have experience at safety, also.

I'm glad I don't pay their grocery bills!!! My son was a hockey player, and believe me, you did not want to be around him when he was eating (on a number of different levels)!04-jawdrop

dangit cmich, reading that little summary you provided just bumped my excitement level up a few notches and it is too soon for this because kickoff is still several weeks away! 03-banghead
