Creative Centennial Celebration Idea
Kent State just created a pretty neat rivalry with Bowling Green to celebrate both schools centennials. They think it might be an annual thing.

I think it's one of the most creative ideas that I've seen in some time.

It's a great idea to rebuild that rivalry. But, wasn't there an Anniversary Trophy before given out to the winner of the Kent v BG football game?? What happened to that?

From looking at the sports Kent has a really good chance of winning it overall. With almost sure points in m/w golf, gymnastics, softball, and baseball that gives us a 8 point lead with 11 points winning it all. Both basketballs will probably be split so that gives us another 2 points so a win from one of the track teams gives Kent the win.

If we can win the Reese Cup (BG 9th) and come 2nd in the Jacoby Trophy (BG 8th), KSU can definitely win this.

Creative?? Creative would be to also add points for the best attendance in FB and BB. Maybe that would inspire more student attendance, at least for those games.

That's not possible, centennials only happen every 100 years. 04-cheers

It always amazes me how people on a message board come up with better ideas, and it isn't like we put too much thought into these ideas.

You're not going to let facts get in the way of an idea are you? Maybe they'll change it to the Centennial +1, +2, etc.

I like that. Or, you could do a whole "99 bottles" type scenario where it would be the "Bicentennial minus 99...Bicentennial minus 98..."
