It's not like its isn't well deserved, the man is on an insane spending and socializing spree. How can a conservative possibly like him at all if he has to spend the rest of his life paying for the mistakes and/or policies Obama's making today?

This country was (and still is) in a deep economic hole and on the verge of a massive depression. Now look at where we are - things are turning around. We had to infuse some $$$ into the economy, and we had to prevent major economic catastrophe by keeping some of these huge corporations from going under.

Where would we be right now had some of these companies failed? Would the unemployment rate be 13%? What would the stock market look like?

I'm not happy about spending either, but the reality is that Obama is doing what had to be done, and I trust him and his administration to first stabilize the economy, and then take steps to reduce the debt burden. Ultimately history will be the judge of Obama and his policies.

But it's one thing to disagree with his policies, but the level of hate here and elsewhere is far more personal than that. Look at some of the signature and avatars people use. Look at alot of the inflammatory rhetoric that folks throw out. These are some of the same folks who scolded liberals for constantly bashing Bush and showing no respect for the POTUS, but on the other side of the ledger it turns out they are just the same.

And look - - as for health care, that was a major component of Obama's platform during the election. He is working on delivering his promises. He was elected by a wide margin on this platform. This is what America wanted.

Shouldn't people then take issue with his policies instead of the picture in this thread?

Yup, exactly right.

The level of animosity towards President Obama is downright sad and pathetic. It completely grips hold of these people and it causes them to draw conclusions totally clouded by their hate.

Really, this thread is a perfect example of something completely innocuous that is turned into an opportunity to bash the president of the united states. There is absolutely nothing Obama could possibly do to please any of these folks - ever. (Apart from leaving office.)

Oh get a freaking life screamers.

I don't hate Obama, I hate what he is doing to my Country and I hate his foolish "Gotta Git Her Done Yesterday" crap with $Trillions and Trillions of Dollars$ and you Liberals see no stink on his sh't from it.

And I Swore and Oath to Protect and Defend the United States of America and that means giving my life protecting the Presidency, as in the Office Of, then I will Obey my Sworn Oath.

I don't hate Obama and I never have. I did not like all the things GW did either and I was just as vocal about him.

And when Obama tries to do something "RIGHT", Finally, then we may be able to get on the same path, but as Socialistic Leftist as he is, there is no way he and I will ever see eye-to-eye - - but then who has the power and who is the just the old street schmuck here.

(at least for 4 years)

Ahh cool. I assume that your caricature of Obama as the anti-christ is intended to be tongue-in-cheek, and to make fun of the loons on the far right who believe that kinda stuff?

Cuz that shows love and respect, for sure.

Nope, this hasn't got one pennies worth to do with being Right, Left, Middle Line or Racial, the Dude is simply waiting on the right day to walk into the Jerusalem and take her over.

He fits the description of this "Anti-Christ Being" to a 'T' and until he is out of the White House in 4 Years and is no longer the Threat I see him as, then he simply "Fits a Description I believe in".

I guess you have some problem or issue with MY belief system now huh ???

Yours is Right & Correct and I am just a Crazy Man ....

Do you even have a Belief System of any kind or sort to fall back on there Studly ?????

Since has it been the responsibility of the Federal government to save companies who are at risk of going under due to bad business practices? Had GM and Chrysler gone under would that have had an effect on the demand for vehicles or would other companies have stepped in to fill the void? Fiscal irresponibility and government overstepping it's constitutional boundaries are what has got us in this mess. Cap and Trade, National healthcare, and continuing to spend ourselves farther into the abyss is not going to help.

I think that generally speaking, you are 100% correct. But in this instance, with a wide range of huge corporations teetering on the brink, it seems the calculation of both the Bush & Obama administrations is that allowing them to fail would have caused incalculable damage to our economy.

Now, whether or not they are right remains to be seen. But we are seeing hopeful signs.

Look, i'm not an economist and I don't pretend to be. But when you have both Bush and Obama administration officials - presumably far smarter than any of us and with all of the information at their fingertips - telling us that something needs to happen, then I tend to believe it needs to happen.

But my point is that one can disagree w/ Obama's policies and still not give into blinding hatred that paints everything he does in the worst possible light.

As has been written in other posts, no one hates the man. If you want to see hate then go back to threads written over a year ago and take a look at how much Bush, Cheney, Rummy and others were treated. As for the avatars, well, a little protest is good for the soul. I remember seeing the face of Bush being compared to the face of a monkey.

With the exception of the war in Iraq, Bush didn't do anything that would seriously hurt us in the long run. Obama is fundamentally changing this country and everything he's doing will be extremely hard to undo - how do you rebuild the health insurance industry once all of them have gone out of business? In case you haven't heard the Post Office is going to close a ton of offices because it's losing money. How come UPS, Fed Ex, Airborn Express and others make money delivering packages and the Post Office can't? Everything the government touches goes to hell and liberals some how think health care will be the exception. They are literally betting their lives on it. Betting their lives - what does that tell you?

Ok, you all are getting off topic. There are threads about Obama's plans to destroy healthcare. There are topics on his out of control spending. Of his corporate takeovers, his friendships with bad people, his socialist ideas, pinko loves, and commie affairs. Obama as Hitler, anti-christ, and destroyer of worlds.

This one is suppose to be "Obama the smuck". 05-mafia

Yeah, it never occurred to me that you might be "cut to the heart" by something posted on an internet message board.

I think the hyperbole is out of control on here and you've all spent too long in this echo chamber repeating back and forth to each other how disastrous Obama has been and you've all convinced yourselves that society is about to collapse as we know it until Obama is thwarted.

But hey, that's just my interpretation. I suspect others feel differently. 04-cheers

Well we could "Bury the Hatchet" and all go on our own "Beer Summit" to mend all these broken fences.

I don't think it would change a thing, I mean Obama will still be able to Walk On Water and the United States will Still have its 2nd Civil War in just over 140 Years.

And of course because your TOTUS is as mad as Dr. Strangelove in Wonderland, the Nation WILL Collapse just the same.

It is already Imploding and you guys are so "Thick" that you are allowing it by hanging on to an "Ideal" so you won't have to "Feel Bad" - - it is all about "Feelings for you Lib's instead of Actions" isn't it ???

It's all good though, it will be as it will be and the True Warriors will Defend what is Right as always.

Well Trip, the thought of the Post Office going down the tubes gets worse when you consider they had no competition for decades yet new companies started up and did things better and more efficiently than them - they blew their head start. And then there's the fact the PO is looking at a $7 billion shortfall this year. When the car companies had shortfalls they cut prices on their cars in order to make at least some profit - the PO raised prices last May by 2 cents which makes their product less attractive. The law of supply and demand is completely lost here. Government thinking is the death of anything.
