Chandler Harnish to be on Chicago Tribune Live 8/03
I just saw this scroll across the screen when I was watching SportsNite on Comcast. I can't find anything online but I think Harnish will be in the studio on CTL tomorrow. The show starts at 5:30 but Harnish probably won't be on until around 6 at the earliest.

Thanks for the info. When I get home, I will put it on. Always good when NIU gets free publicity.

He seemed pretty confident we can beat Wisconsin.

RE: Chandler Harnish to be on Chicago Tribune Live 8/03
Wow, i was impressed with Harnish's interview. He spoke well and he spoke with confidence. He was a great interview.
He talked about how last season he was like a deer in the headlights because of the new offense and not knowing if he was the starter.
He felt the team respected in him in the huddle after the first drive against Minnesota. Even though they didn't score in that drive, they got a first down.
He said he loves playing for Kill and so do the other players. They all like his southern accent and background.
Spoke about Wisconsin. Said he expects a lot different outcome this year than last time we played them. Kaplan mentioned how their defense wasn't that good last season and they were exposed badly against FSU. Harnish acknowledge and mentioned how they lose a lot of their front seven and best CB and that if they go in there with a gameplan to expose those deficiencies they will do well.
Spoke about the pressure of being an athlete on a higher level and managing football, academics, and leisure time. Harnish said in this day and age of facebook and twitter you have to constantly be careful what you do and who you associate with. He agrees with Kill's philosophy of nothing good happens after midnight.
Kaplan wished him well and said he looked forward to broadcasting his home games this season.

Yeah thank you snoopy for that wrapup.
Harnish has such poise and swagger. Plus cool facial hair.
Has NIU ever had a Sophomore captain? I don't think so.

He did very well - for a RS sophomore.
No major gaffes - except a minor mis-statement re: Camp Randall seating capacity.
Poised, confident but not cocky.
I was waiting for TedG to lay a verbal trap given his previous smug attitude re: MAC football compared to BT.
Kaplan is simply the greatest NIU cheerleader in media.
Segment had some depth to it & was not merely the token 60 second filler spot I anticipated.
The brief video clip of his TD pass into s. end zone in HS last season raised perceptions IMO of the program in any eyes of viewers new to Huskie football.
BTW: I have yet to view the promo video on cable.

I believe Chris Finlen was a captain as a SO, JR, & SR.
