O Line Question
There have been a lot of posts about how we are nervous about the O Line depth and all that stuff, but how deep do we really need to go with our O Line?
It would appear to me that this is our depth chart:
LT 62 Trevor Olson..................................... 6-6, 294, So.-R
68 Keith Otis......................................... 6-4, 314, So.-R
LG 65 Jason Onyebuagu.................................6-2, 307, Sr.
70 Logan Pegram.................................. 6-3, 293, Fr.-R
C 50 Eddie Adamski.................................. 6-3, 284, Sr.-R
71 Scott Wedige................................... 6-4, 296, So.-R
RG 61 Panan Tense......................................6-4, 300, Jr.-R
OR 72 Joe Pawlak....................................... 6-5, 281, So.-R
RT 59 Kevin Skatrud......................................6-7, 327, So.
OR 61 Panan Tense......................................6-4, 300, Jr.-R
74 Adam Kiel......................................... 6-5, 305, So-R
Of the chart we are only going to be losing 3 guys right?
And I understand the concern that over the past 2 seasons we have recruited 2 offensive linemen in total, but that puts us behind the eight ball by 1 guy? I'm not sure our depth is going to be any type of issue for us until 2011, so Kill has 2 seasons to recruit some oline talent.
So back to my original question, how many quality olinemen do we NEED, not want, to be secure with our depth? We have 10 (and 3 are gone after this season) listed above, and I think that's 2 too many. We only need 8...if you ask me.
