Needs some new rims.

So what is the Sprinter color? Is it close to Cardinal?

Eventually throw some black rims on that and you will be all set. Does that include a bench seat in the back for passengers? Is the Huskie Mobile a thing of the past now?? What about the Huskie Winnebago??

Yeah, rims will be a nice touch. Huskie Mobile is still around and will be getting some much needed attention since it has been used as my work vehicle for the last two years as well. The Winnebago is nearly ready for the trip to Madison. I took the bench seats out of the Bus and will install them in the Sprinter.

Yeah, it is darker and less orange in person.

Good thing you didn't buy the one next to it and put gold rims on it. 03-lmfao In case you didn't get it, the one next to it was blue and with gold rims, it would be Toledo colors.

Dunno, but probably not for the beginning of the season. I am shooting for the Toledo trip.

The bad boy is sitting in my driveway with under 100 miles! First new car I have ever bought. Never thought I would buy a new car, but with the sticker price at 42K, and after cash for clunkers, I got it for 27K. Out the door for 30.5K.

So what are in the long-range plans for the Sprinter? You should think about some professionally made vinyl decals in terms of any NIU theme you might add. That way you don't get into any trademark violation plus it will be a much more professional and classy look. And you can remove the decals and reapply when the situation calls for it. What would really set that Sprinter off is a nice set of flat black rims. Clean, old-school look.

I am going to work with OC ImageWorks on Lincoln Hwy. I am going to spray paint the stock rims red and they have a black center cap on them. I am also goint to get approval from the athletic department to use any NIU logos.

That'll work too. Sounds like it will be a very nice professional look that you can be proud of and that is nicely understated yet cool.

RE: Huskie Sprinter
I'm no copyright attorney so let us know how that goes with athletic department.

I'm only guessing any policy re: such matters - if there is one that applies in your situation - may not look at such duplications favorably. Also the dept. may not not wish for you and your vehicle or anyone else to be misconstrued somehow by public as being an official representative of NIU.

My guess is they would like to keep their distance from such requests in general and not be in a position of approving or disapproving such choices by fans.

The NIU logo is, afterall, found on bumper stickers but owners are , in a sense, paying for the rights to display the logo when it's purchased and likely bringing dollars/pennies back to the program.
