RE: Schedule?
FWIW, I am getting my schedule info as other schools release their info.

And I am hearing that the Texas thing is VERY tentative. There is a chance the deal may fall apart because they failed to get any "marque" programs on the bill.

RE: Schedule?
That's why I was claiming they'd get 1k at that Texas tournament. Lake State? How many people in Texas actually know where Lake Superior or the Upper Peninsula is? Western Michigan? Well, that's a little better, but obviously not a marquee name.

RE: Schedule?
If the tourney goes through the broncos could have a decent following there, between some of the chatter on this board and many of the players being from the west coast, it might be easier for their families to get to Dallas than Kzoo to see them play. not to mention Flink and Ludwig are from Dallas and Gill played junior in Texarkana...just a thought.

I would bet Duluth, and three of the following opponents: Niagara, Sacred Heart, Qunnipiac, Mercyhurst, Alabama-Huntsville, Bemidji (wait maybe not), Union, Holy Cross, Canisius, Bentley, Connecticut, Robert Morris, Brown.

Duluth released there schedule last Friday and we are not on it.

Also, the ECAC released there composite schedule and WMU has no non-conference games with ECAC schools this year. And every WCHA school has there schedule out now and we are on none of them either.

RE: Schedule?
When looking at some of these already released schedule...some of the games dont start til Oct 23rd and 30th...maybe we havent finalized with some of these other teams..looking back at last season...we played non conference affairs a few weekends before...such as: Oct 4th (exhibition) then the following weekend Oct 10th against Niagara and Oct 11th against RIT...then the following weekend the weekend series with minnesota duluth...so maybe non conference dates are not set in stone yet...

Some schools, like the Ivy League schools, start later because they have a self-imposed restriction on the number of games they can play in the regular season that is less then the number the NCAA mandates. To do that they simply start their season later then everyone else (which also gives them several more weeks of preseason practice time other schools don't get).

But, if a school has released a schedule then that schedule is finalized... including non-conference dates. While on rare occasion something extraordinary will happen to force a schedule change, for the most part you can count on a released schedule is the schedule that will be played.

RE: Schedule?
Also, doesnt look like Bemidji State will be in the Texas Showcase......looking at their schedule shows them in the Ledyard Bank Classic Dec 28-29.....most of all CCHA teams schedules are announced....why isnt ours?
