I do think you need to distinguish between the neocon wackos and the socially-liberal, fiscally conservative sensible people like me.

On balance the republicans probably come closer to my beliefs than the democrats, but only if you exclude the neocon wing.

My brother describes a neocon as someone who is, "liberal on every issue that I'm conservative on, and conservative on every issue that I'm liberal on." That pretty much works for me, too.

I have a Son that is almost 30 Years Old, so I too (thank you God) will have to wait a while to be called Great Grand Pa. My Daughters are a little younger as are their children, so I will be Worm Dirt by the time any of their kids have kids of their own.

I don't figure there is much of a world left out there for these little guys and I am just glad that My Grandchildren are Truly Loved and Shown that Love all day long.

They are the smilingest little people on the planet and the only thing that makes life worth putting up with .... and I hate to play favorites, but there is this one Grand Son that just takes my heart away man .....

I am going to teach him how to survive in places where it ain't so easy and maybe he will be able to help his younger Siblings and Cousins to survive as well.

He is one tough and smart little cuss with a good solid Irish Name to boot ... LOL

Thats why I cannot fathom the direction the country is going, willing to hock the future of generations to come without regard or remorse, for their own selfish greed of money and power.
