Wings vs Pens.
Lindstrom is going to play, Pavel? I haven't heard yet, any of you locals listening to talk radio?

I just don't see the Pens beating the Wings in this series, and that youth thing is overrated in my mind due to the inspiring and great play of the young Wings. Lebda has some wheels, Ozzie plays great when the there is a lot of action.

Excited to see the kid play his best, he's "Bobby Orr" good in my opinion, just an incredible player. Ovechkin can watch the two best players in the league on tv from his over stuffed couch, where he belongs.

RE: Wings vs Pens.
I've thought it over long enough. This series is dead even. Fleury's play has been graat, bordering on lucky even and if he keeps that up the lesser "team" could pull this out.
I am going to go with Pens in 7 due only to the hunger factor. After waiting all season for a 2nd chance, that little "something extra" may be there.
Really it could go either way.
Now that I said that, one team will probably sweep. Finals are harder to predict than any other series IMO.

I know the Hurricanes are no Detorit, however, Pitt looked pretty darn good against them. I am so glad tonight's game is on NBC, their coverage is far better than Fox and Versus. Although Versus is not too bad.

Well, this begins the civil war in our house. Wife is from Pittsburgh. My son is hanging with his Dad and cheering for the Red Wings.

Isn't being a Pens fan grounds for a divorce? :)

Wow, Wings ring off metal twice but get two fluke goals. I guess things even out in the end. Third period is going to be a war, this is some good hockey.

Thats why I watch the Wings on CBC. They actually know hockey.

I wish CBC were available to me, I'm stuck with those Eastern Conference homers on NBC, it's like they're cheering for the Pens. I get that they're canucks and the Sweeds irritate them, but they should be proud that the world has embraced their game, not resent them. It comes through in their talk. Plus, they're stupid. Never thought I would say this, but I miss Melrose doing games with Bill Clement.

Good hockey last night, two metalurgy saves by Fluery, then he gets burned by fluke goals. Ozgood was fantastic last night, he had Malkin thinking on that breakaway, pure veteran goalie there. Did anyone hear what Ken Holland said to him in the middle of the season to "straighten him out"? I missed that.

RE: Wings vs Pens.
The NBC announcers get nothing more than a C from me. Too much east coast bias, as always.

Game 2 was interesting to me in that Pittsburgh waited until the game was pretty much over to get their fire lit. If they put as much energy into playing the game as they did whining and that fight at the end, they may have been able to steal one of the two games. They doo not have the patience of the Wings, that's for sure.
Their defensive intensity is especially lacking.
I guess the West is still just better than the East.

Wings up 2-0 after their second 3-1 win. I think that Pitt needed to steal this one with their "young legs" and back to back games. They didn't, they'll take maybe one at home just based on emotion. The difference is that Pens roll two good lines, the Wings are getting great production from all four lines. This will make a difference.

Ozzie has been great.

Had to laugh at the web board posters calling NBC the Nothing But Crosby network.

They're D is on to the possession scheme. Line 4 had the big pushes last night with their grinding, dumping and chasing. We had our chances, but that five minutes was the worst thing I've ever watched.

Really need to work on keeping the puck in their zone.

Change of plans, I have a dog getting chemo for lymphoma, he had a particularly rough week with this particular treatment, I decided to stay, my friends had NO PROBLEM finding someone to take my ticket for tonight. However, if it goes 7...................

I'd rather see the Wings hoist the cup in Pittsburgh, but I don't see that happening, they're jumping and hungry now. Man, this is like two series now.

Who shows up for game six? I predict a WAR with the Wings ending up on top.

Selfishly I am hoping this goes to 7 games now. My sister, a US Marine, flies home on leave this Wednesday from Japan and she hasn't seen a hockey game in some 3 years (she's about as big a fan as I am).
