Cutting through the recruiting rhetoric
Veteran coaches probably have some feel for the quality of their respective recruiting classes. Of course, they always use the standard hype, but I would love to hear Shields' stripped-down assessment of this class compared to previous ones.

But I am guessing Shields has a pretty good idea. And I have to believe that veteran coaches are pretty good at assessing their incoming talent. But they always have to put the best spin on it for public consumption. I would love to hear that assessment without the spin.
