On the "hoping" list
Great classic fast break offenses key on dominant post rebounding, not dominant team rebounding. If the 1-2-3 spots have to stay back to help rebound, then they cannot automatically release to start the break. Breaks that have to wait that split second usually are not successful. That is why I wish we would use one of our big men in the 4 spot. We need to run a little bit, and in order to do that we are going to have to have great rebounding from the 4 and 5 positions.

You seem to forget that we are a set-offense. Why run when we've got to get the play from the bench. Which is normally dribble for 30 seconds a clank one from 20 feet. That or dribble for 30 seconds, drive the lane and bounce pass out of bounds.

I'd LOVE to see us run. I'd also LOVE to win the lottery. Neither have a very good chance of actually happening.

Well, maybe Bozeman will make Shields loosen up a little. With the beef we have, we ought to control the boards.

I am hoping that Bozeman will be one of those "coaches on the floor" for us next season. Could be. His father is a coach, and he has played in one of the best conferences in the country.

You need to have the break as an option. Just like a junk ball pitcher, you don't have to have a blazing fastball, but you have to throw it occasionally to keep the hitter off stride. To make your halfcourt game effective, you need to run occasionally just to keep the other team off rhythm.
