Anyone else see Derek being interviewed by Kornheiser on PTI a short while ago. Derek was wearing a UALR shirt, looked fantastic, and what a super ambassador for us. No way UALR could ever manage that kind of publicity on it's own. I don't believe the LR people in general or the local media realize what a personality Derek Fisher is. I hope some of us get the chance to thank Derek for that, the shirt and all. Also it's in the bank, Derek will have a great career in BB Broadcasting, if he wants it.

He did look great didn't he? Knowing Derek I don't think it was an accident that he picked a shirt with HUGE UALR letters on the front for his appearance on PTI. He's struggled some in post season, but who hits the huge "3" at the end of the half and the huge "3" to finally give the Lakers the lead late in the 4th quarter last night- none other than UALR's Derek Fisher.

He hasn't aged a bit, Micky. I remember when he first stepped onto the Barton Coliseum floor as a Trojan, then the classy thing he did, signing autographs after UALR lost the Sun Belt final to WKU and a Hilltopper fan paid homage to him with that great compliment regarding the aforementioned autograpgh signing. A great player and a 1st class gentleman...then, now and always. God bless you, Fish!

He's one in a million. Maybe one in a little less than a million. As far as Little Rock people not knowing what a personality Derek is, they don't care. It's amazing to me, that during the season Fish will hit 15 points or so, and you don't know about it because Koby hit 35, but on the local news channels, they'll show a clip of Joe Johnson scoring 20 or 25 for the cellar dwelling Atlanta team, but they won't show Derek hitting the 15 or so. Why? We all know why don't we.

RE: D. Fish
Outside of THE season (and everyone except us and the closest college basketball fans have forgotten that), Fish definitely is the best national advertising we have had.
