And this makes two.
They have nice smilies over here.

So, Don't you think it would be a good idea to have as a defined goal for our football startup, to go to the FBS level? I would think that the Big East or C-USA would both like to have a member in the Atlanta market. I really believe that it would only be natural for a 28,000 student, research university in the deep south with over 100,000 alums in the Atlanta area to have a sports profile belonging in a major athletic conference.
Mike that would be great, but my main concern now is attendance. I have yet to see a concrete business marketing plan on how the department plans on filling seats. I run a very successful real estate sales business and my suggestion to them would be the following:
1. Hire sales pros and get the willing and able alumni like me to volunteer.
2. Prepare scripts, outlining opening statements, answers to objects, etc.
3. Call every single alumni in the database and start season ticket sales.
4. Offer buy-one-get two free tickets to all the alumni so they can bring friends and family.
5. Hire alumni and current students as volunteers to stand in front and pass out fliers and free tickets to all the high school football players and fans after each Friday night game.
That last one is crucial. It is imperative for us to start courting young talent and putting G-State in their heads while they are in high school and playing.
I really hope the athletic marketing department has something like this planned otherwise it will be a flop as far as attendance is concerned.
