A sure sign that GM is going the way of high-button shoes

Nice way to make use of the billions of dollars they sucked out of our pockets on their way to the scrap heap of industrial failure.

Idiots.

Disappointing but not a surprise. THey already sell a Korean car so why not one built in China? It will make them money so they can pay the loans back. If I am not mistaken, unlike the Korean car they sell, this is their own plant not another company's so you aren't getting a "Chinese car".

.

Don't forget guys .....

Barack Hussein Obama IS the CEO/CFO/Owner/#1 Share Holder of General Motors.

He "Socialized the Auto Industry" just weeks ago so he can't blame Bush on this one - - in fact Bush stupidly gave the Auto Industry a TON of Bailout money in the Fall of last year.

The "Little-god" (exercising my 1st Amendment Free Speech Rights there) is in "Total Control of the Ship" and it is Sinking Like the Stone of Sisyphus ...

"YES WE CAN" !!!!!!!!

Right. But GM has had more than its share of quality problems with cars produced in its own backyard. I tremble to think about what sort of QC nightmares they'll have in China, where quality isn't even in the industrial vocabulary.

This is going to really piss off the UAW. But what pisses me off is why is our bailout money ending up in China?

Yep, we borrow it from them, ship it right back to them when we buy their goods, then pay them interest for the original money we borrowed. Makes perfect sense to me.

RE: The smell of epic failure is coming from GM headquarters
The bigger stink is the billions the UAW will get for this from taxpayers to run the doomed company into the ground.

Quote:In reality, GM’s demise comes down to a fight between retirees.

On one side are GM’s unionized retired workers. On the other, are the rest of us -- either in retirement or saving for it. Guess who will lose as things now stand?

Under the restructuring plan on the table, GM’s retirees would get 39 percent of the company, along with the promise of a $10 billion payment into their health-care trust fund. That is in exchange for $20 billion GM owes the fund.

Not making out so well are current or future retirees who depend on the performance of mutual funds, 401(k) plans and insurance companies that invested in GM bonds. These debt investors, who are owed about $27 billion, will get just 10 percent of the company.

So I'm greedy for investing money into the market for loans that I expect to at least get repaid for the original investment amount, but union thugs who get better health benefits than most other retirees and a better pension are deserving?!?

GM Retirees Bully Bondholders With Obama’s Help

This amounts to the RAPE of the middle class!!!

Well, be careful there with your broad orange and brown brush ;.)

My company manufactures items in China for American and really worldwide consumption. We have a very small American management team in China (mostly senior HR and Finance positions) and all of our QC and Manufacturing leaders are Chinese nationals.

Point being, an American (or really any company, Chinese owned included) company in China can quite easily see to high levels of quality in China - I imagine quality deficiencies, which unfortunately do play a bit role in Chinese manufacturing culture (they'll admit so themselves, so I hear) are more in the past than in the future.

As long as that Bigoted Idiot Wanda Sykes can stand 10 feet from the TOTUS and spew hate like wino vomit while he laughs like a buffoon, I can say WTF ever I want to say.

And I LOVED the Teleprompter sitting just off the table from Hussein and was clearly pointed in his direction.

Man this guy is one sad addicted dude to Electronic Text Scrolling Machines.

But I have to hand it to him, he kept that Benito Mussolini Chin poked up in the air through it all .... he truly has that one down to the exact matching form .... it is just the Dumbo Ears that get in the way.

They collectively are too damn stupid to realize what is happening. I've been a lifelong GM buyer. I will NEVER, EVER buy another one...not one made in China. Not one, with the current UAW costs/contracts in place. It's the end of the road.

Let 'em go make biofuel in Vermont. I hear they have a growing industry up there for that s --t !

FIATs in Chrysler nameplate...whose going to buy those "MI$TAKE$"... not me. FIAT is NOWHERE in the world of autos. Not in Europe. Not in the USA. Not in Asia. They only sell that crap in Italy because it's made there and for some strange reason the natives like to crash them into each other as they drive around their "Go 'Round" in their burgs. THERE IS NO VIABLE MARKET FOR THEIR PRODUCT ... NONE.

Let the UAW try to sell those rollerskates...THAT will be fun.

Two American auto historical manufacturers ... GONE ! ! Hell of a note! 03-banghead

I can't wait for the UAW to be "Pissed Off" !!! 03-lmfao 03-lmfao 03-lmfao
