Citi field- first impressions
Main hall--a lot neater than Yankee stadium. Not the concrete montrosity of Yankee stadium. I like coloring of the brick.

Confusing on how to get to your seats. Yankee stadium does this better.

Access to food and definitely better alcohol selection.

So far the mets fans are a lot ruder.

Definitely better than shea.

Very cold wind blowing right now.

As you know, I attended both Shea and the old Yankee Stadium on multiple occasions. My Shea experiences sucked and my Yankee Stadium experiences rocked. Bring it on, haters.

You won't find me hating, you know that. Kittens remarks about the selection of alcohol was funny to me. Now if Amsterdam ever gets a team, hell I'm there. I can hear the announcer now, Batting First for your Amsterdam Spliffs, Ziggy Marley Jr.

Baseball in Amsterdam would make total sense.

Makes total sense to me also. I will have to make a lineup out for the Spliffs. I'm working on it.

Batting second and playing shortstop....Snoop Dogg. Followed by Willie Nelson in the 3 spot.

RE: Citi field- first impressions
I will post pics tomorrow. Final impression..

I like it better than Yankees stadium. I thought it was more intimate..Yes, new but still...The person next to me said she liked Yankee stadium better because it is more open...But to me...that takes away from the more intimate feel of actually being a part of it.

The Jackie Robinson rotunda is way cool!!!

The concessions were better. The bar at the top of where I sat was really cool. I liked the brick.

The only thing I didn't like about it is the traffic flow of getting people in and out of the stadium. Way too congested. Yankee stadium does have this beat.
It was very confusing in trying to figure out how to get to the upper levels.

Overall...Bailout field...is the better of the two stadiums in my opinion.

And the people started warming up and being nicer once the game got started.

RE: Citi field- first impressions
My peepsters, you are starting a great lineup, gotta find a cleanup hitter, Oh Tommy Chong, in leftfield. I'm sorta torn between Woody Harrelson, or Tommy Chong. For cleanup. Jeff Spicole is in the 6 hole. Cheech Marin is the DH.

Dave Chappelle, in the 7 spot. Tyrone Biggums in the 8 slot. And in the nine hole, I need some help. Come up with a 9 spot hitter, and we have a fantasy team that will rate HIGHER than anyones. I guess I would have to put Brad Pitts Character from True Romance in the 9 hole. Don't remember his characters name yet. It will come to me.

So there are things you liked, and things you didn't, before or after the Vodka?

Just saw the streaker on Kimmel. He slid into second. Nice move. But then he gave up pretty easily.

Technology is really getting scary.

He did his job...It distracted the Braves and the Mets gained momentum. The crowd was really out of it until then.
