I guess you guys weren't sincere about him, just used his coaching to your benefit and now, unlike a true friend, turn your back on him.

How about thanking him for all he did, wishing him well and moving on?

And another alrighty then.

Of all the snakes from other schools that infest this board, some are of lower order than others. On the herpetology scale, you're a garden snake.

If he does fail, I hope you aren't holding your breath for that statement. Don't get me wrong, I would love to hear it. Pride is hard to sallow, Cal would choke.

You are correct. The only way he makes that statement is if he wants to insult UK on his way out if he ends up with a BG like departure. He would leave all of that coulda been legend stuff off though.

I can't argue with what this guy says. Done bashing.
My kid and I shared the last four years at a perfect time (he was 16-19 years old.)
But, I have the baseball Cardinals building up false hopes and setting the stage to break my heart again before tipoff next fall.
I have survived the ups and downs of 35 years of Tiger football. This ain't ****.

If he is successful then Coach Cal will never, I repeat never, have a team good enough to win a title. Why, because the players that he recruits don't want to go to college. If Tyler is sucessful, expect for the top 20-30 seniors to go pro in Europe every year. With the class that he put together at Memphis this year, and then tore apart, he will be looking back for the rest of his life wondering what if and, after getting fired at Kentucky within 5 years, or either quitting under pressure, he will be 55 without a title and having never realized his dream of a 40-0 team and a national title. Because of Europe, he will never have a chance to field such a great team again. And we all need that he needs superior talent to be successful. He will fail at Kentucky.

So where will the Ncaa talent pool come from? Josh Pastner is going to recruit the same type players Calipari did. So according to you the one and dones won't be available . Who will that leave ? Don't you think that Cal and Josh will get the best of the rest?
High school players will not flock to Europe to start their Pro careers. The money is too iffy , the playing time is too iffy , the culture is too different for that to happen. Look for the NBA to extend the limit to 2 years after high school.

UHHH, read the post dude. My point was, after the top 20 or so go to Euprope or the NBA, the ones that are left are not the type that typically like to play for Calipari....Also, we all know that Calipari will still chase these guys, even if it means he may not get them. Therefore, the best of the rest, will be water under the bridge (or coach Pastner's ;-), and he (Calipair) won't get them. He will fail.

This retort is very fitting.
