Another Cryptic Post
...on Slatton's blog, feturing a picture of a mockingbird, so I'm gonna go on a looooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnng limb and say that:

The mockingbird is the state bird of Tennessee, which obviouisly means that Sheilds is going to be hired away to join the staff at Memphis!

Mr Slatton could be privy to a request for permission to talk to Coach Shields, and I guess Coach Petterson too (whom does one ask to talk to an AD, the Chancellor..?) but there is no permission needed to talk to a recruit.

Isn't he the guy who covers the Travelers? I know he wrote the book, "The Last At Bat", covering the history of Travelers Field(Ray Winder Field).
